Hope you are enjoying 2012. So far, this year has started off with a bang and activity is on the rise. The market is still very price driven, but the increase in sales activity is very encouraging. The Nathan Abbott Team has put 31 properties under contract since January and we are looking forward to a very busy Spring season. We continue to grow the team and recently added a new administrative member to our group. You may be in contact occasionally with our newest member Jeanne Mahoney (Admin.), along with Frank Meader (Admin./Closing Coordinator), Daniel Walker (Buyer’s Agent) & Amanda Abbott (Listing/Marketing Coordinator). I feel proud to have them as part of the team as they all create incredible synergy and are very passionate towards offering exceptional service for our customers.
Overall, 2012 should be a banner year for sales and rental absorption as we are projected to have more rental traffic than we have experienced in over a decade and the most competitively priced properties are selling. We continue to have our ups and downs in regards to real estate prices as short sales and foreclosures are still on the rise. Hopefully by the end of the year a good majority of this banking product will be absorbed, which will be needed for future appreciation to be experienced. Overall, The positive news is the local economy seems to be improving and the market appears to be stabilizing. If this trend continues we should be well on our way towards positive growth for the future. Now is still a great time to buy as these low prices will not last forever. It is also a great time to sell if you are priced right.
