Enjoy sipping a glass of wine while relaxing on the Emerald Coast? While there are many restaurants with beautiful Gulf views and wonderful wine selections, only one has been recently recognized in a national magazine for their wine selection alone.

South Walton’s own Fish Out of Water at WaterColor Inn and Resort received an “Award of Excellence” from Wine Spectator magazine. Fish Out of Water is one of the less than 3,000 restaurants world-wide awarded for offering at least 90 quality wines that pair with menu items in price and style.

Fish Out of Water offers over 475 selections of wine and have over 3,649 bottles currently in inventory. The glass-encased and humidity controlled wine cellar can be views from the private dining-room that also features Gulf views

While the selection of wines from around the globe is extensive, over a third of the bottles are $50 and under, making it even easier to enjoy a night out in South Walton. On Tuesday, August 19, 2014, Fish Out of Water is offering a complimentary glass of select wine with each entree to guests who mention the award.

The 2014 Restaurant Awards list can be found in the August issue of Wine Spectator.
