St. Joe is moving from Jacksonville, FL to Panama City Beach, FL.  Their headquarters have been located in Jacksonville since 1935 and are one of the largest land holders in the State of Florida.  They are preparing for the significant impact expected from the upcoming NW Florida Beaches International Airport, which is expected to open in two months.

St. Joe donated 4000 acres of land to the airport and they own approx. 60,000 acres surrounding the airport. They will be developing West Bay with a three-phase development of 1,000 acres immediately accessible to the airport. Phase one will be developed for office space and retail (airport hotels, car rentals, etc.) St. Joe will move its headquarters there in a 50,000-square-foot building which is scheduled to open in the summer of 2011.   It is a huge accomplishment to have St. Joe move their headquarters to our area, which shows they are commited for the long run.  We welcome St. Joe as our new neighbors.
