With Destin being known as the “Luckiest Fishing Village in the World” it’s a great place to charter a fishing boat and join in this year’s Red Snapper season. The 2014 open harvest season for Red Snapper for the state of Florida starts the Saturday before Memorial Day, May 24, and runs through July 14th. Federal Red Snapper season is open June 1st through 11thonly.
